Nell Woods, 87, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Lucy Smith King Hospital in Henderson. The daughter of William Terrell Hendrix and Lillie Mae Pruitt Hendrix Mills, Nell was born Wednesday, April 16, 1925 in Union City, Tennessee.
A homemaker, Nell was a member of Henderson General Baptist Church.
Pastor Charles Linhart will conduct a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
Nell is survived by her daughter, Lavon Linhart of Henderson, Kentucky; sons, Ronald Woods of Jackson, Missouri and Donnie Woods and Danny Woods, both of Franklin, Indiana; 13 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Beside her parents, Nell was preceded by her husband, Murl Woods; one sister and six brothers.
