Ada Marie McCoy Hunter, 82, of Greenwood, IN died Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at her home. Ada was born to the late Thomas L. and Wilhelmina Colton McCoy in Washington, IN on February 12, 1927. Ada retired from Indiana Bell in 1984 working for 20 years as an information operator. She was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church, Delta Theta Tau. Ada met once a month with her fellow retiree's for lunch. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1945. Ada married Howard W. Hunter in Indianapolis on July 27, 1947 and he survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughter in-laws: Howard W. and Trish Hunter II, David W. and Kathy Hunter, Daniel P. and Kim Hunter. One brother: Rev. Dean McCoy. One sister: Anna Coffman. A special friend: Chris Hill. Five grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She is preceded by her parents and two brothers. Family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN 46143. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
