Born in Indianapolis, February 2, 1930, Albert (Abe) G. Bell loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away at home Sunday, September 1st.

Abe and his wife Joan were married on November 12, 1949 and were to celebrate 70-years of marriage.  He passed away at his home of a broken heart, barely a week after losing his wife.  The two were inseparable and devoted; their marriage was a true love story.

He loved traveling with his family, Abe had a passion for sports and was an accomplished roller-skater, ice-skater and springboard diver in his younger days.  He also enjoyed hobbies such as golf, fishing, boating, camping and other outdoor activities.

Abe attended Arsenal Technical High School and served Christ as a deacon where he was a member of Southport Baptist Church for over 30-years.  He was proud 32 ^nd degree Master Mason and member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge #514.

He retired from Hennis Freight Lines as a driver and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local #135.  He competed in numerous truck rodeos and won the 1966 Indiana State Championship.  Throughout his entire driving career, Abe was awarded the Safe Driving Award for his flawless year-after-year accident free driving record.

Abe was preceded in death by his mother Ada Grace, father William Henry Albert, and wife Dorothy Joan.  He is survived by his son Jeffrey Kim (Madeline), son Keith Albert (Cindy), son Craig Alan, two grandchildren Crystal Lynn Wirstiuk (David) and Kaitlin Elizabeth King (Jake).

A memorial service will be held for family and friends on November 12 ^th 2019 at the Forest Lawn Mausoleum Chapel located at 1977 S. State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143 at 2:00 PM, with visitation from 1:00 PM until time of service.  In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage contributions be given to Open Arms Church New Castle in Abe's memory.  The church mailing address is 1618 Broad Street, New Castle, IN 47362.
