Albert Victor McIlveen, Jr., 83, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Vic was born on July 5, 1928 in Bloomington, IN to the late Albert and Mary (Hoadley) McIlveen, Sr.
Vic graduated from Indiana University with two Master''s Degrees. He taught school for Perry Township Schools for many years prior to retiring. Post retirement he continued his love for teaching others. He was a member of Sigma Nu, the Perry Township Historical Society, Eagle Scouts, and the Washwright Bowling League for over 39 years. Vic also loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was an IMAN for six years.
Vic is survived by his loving children: Michelle McCarthy (Mike), Denise Frazier (Scott), Patrice Price (Mike), Angie Wood (Bob), Georgann Brooks (J.T.), and Vicki Fulkerson; mother of his children, Mary McIlveen; sister Rose McIlveen; and 19 grandchildren.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents; sister Elizabeth Rose; and granddaughter Kasey Brooks.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harvest Point Church, Indianapolis.
