Albert Allen Meyer, 95, 0f Indianapolis, passed away February 3, 2016. Born December 16, 1920 in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late Albert C. and Muriel (Wilson) Meyer. He graduated from Southport High School with the class of 1938. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy WWII. On August 13, 1944, he married Ida Aljean Williams. She preceded him in death on July 27, 2012. Albert was a charter member of Southport Heights Christian Church, enjoyed traveling, and lived in Arizona for 11 years. He worked as a financial auditor for the United Postal Service for 30 years, retiring in 1979. He is survived by a son, Albert "Abe" A. Meyer II; two daughters, Hannah Worley, and Ida Suzanne Wolf; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death are, his parents, and a son, John David Meyer. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 8, 2016 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
