Obituary

Albert F. Turner, 77, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022. He was born to the late William and Marjorie Turner.


Albert loved his job as a truck driver. He drove for 35 years and retired from Central Transport at age 53. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 135. He was able to have a long and happy retirement, enjoying his yard and spending time with his family. His love for old cars was legendary. Albert was a proud Army Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 276 in Beech Grove.

He is survived by his loving wife Beverly Turner; children Melinda (Gary) Minardo, John (Lori) Hagan, Robert Hagan; 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; siblings Connie (Gary) Legan, Sally Turner, William 'Bill' (Ann) Turner. Albert is preceded in death by both parents; children Carol (Burk), Donna (Hight) and Janet (Turner) and siblings Linda Miller, Barbara Thomas and Jim Turner.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 24, 2022 from Noon until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
