Alberta DuPriest, 84, resident of Indianapolis, passed away December 26, 2007 at University Heights Health and Living Center, Indianapolis. She was born October 13, 1923 in Chenieville, IL to the late Walter and Rella McBee. Alberta was a United State Navy Veteran; she retired from the state of Indiana and was honored by the governor as a Distinguished Hoosier. She loved to read and enjoyed reading her Bible. She is survived by her son Terry; daughter Tamera; two grandchildren James and Brittany; brother James and sister Esther Traver. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 29, 2007,1:30:00PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN. Visitation will be Saturday, December 29, 2007,12:00 until service time at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
