Alberta Gamstetter Haessing, 90, passed away July 5, 2007 at Regency Place, Greenwood, IN. She was born Oct. 18, 1916 to the late Edward and Anna (Zins) Gamstetter. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, George F. Haessig. Alberta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a wonderful homemaker. In later years she and her husband owned and operated George''s Tavern in Indianapolis. Before becoming confined to a nursing home she was a member and had been active with Greenwood Senior Citizens. Survivors include her 4 daughters and 1 son, Mary (Charlie) Jackson, Barbara (Gene) Weaver, George E. (Judy) Haessig, all of Greenwood, Judy (Doug) Elliott, Mooresville, and Joyce (Tim) Davis, Las Vegas, 11 grandchildren, Teresa (Terry) Moore, Kathy Able, Michael (Linda) Weaver, Jeff (Tracey) Weaver, Lisa lynn, Julie Weaver, Scott (Patty) Haessig Billy (Jennifer) Smith, Rachael (Matt) Murphy and Dustin and Tylker Seay, 20 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Charles Haessig and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a brother, Norbert and 2 sisters Pauline and Clara Mae. Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Hwy. 135 South, Greenwood on July 9, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services will be held in the Forest Lawn Chapel on July 10, at 10 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association or the American Diabetes Association.
