Alice J. Coddington, 81 of Indianapolis passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 born on June 13, 1940. Preceded in death by parents, Morris and Mary Jane Denton, son, Larry G. Kerr, (Rebecca) siblings, Debra K. Ramsey (Maryl), Phillis Weiser, Phillip Denton and late husband, John L. Coddington.
Alice is survived by her husband Jackson Hignite, her daughter Cindy (Max) Pipes of Greenwood, brother Sam Denton of Indianapolis and Jason Hignite of Indianapolis.
Alice had 14 loving and adoring grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and a large close-knit extended family which included employees of Eagle Magnetic Co., Inc.
Alice and her late husband, John, worked tirelessly as Owners of Eagle Magnetic Co. After John's passing in 1999, Alice became the sole owner and continued her presence in the company until her death. She enjoyed playing slot machines and monthly euchre card games with her life long friend Beverly Delp (Bill) and others, as well as weekly card games with "The Girls".

Visitation will be Wednesday February 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Alice will be laid to rest next to her late husband John Coddington.
