Aline Mitchell, 93, of Indianapolis passed away November 5, 2017. She was born March 28, 1924 in Edmonton, KY to William Porter and Nancy Elvire (England) Smith.

Aline loved having her family around. She was a member of Trinity Southern Baptist Church since 1993 and the B Club. She enjoyed reading her Bible, word searches and when she was younger, working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Grace (Mitchell) White and brothers, Walter, James, Maxie, Paul Smith and sisters, Louvine Garrett and Nell Rittenberry.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Sherril) Mitchell Sr.; brother, George (Agnes) Smith; sisters, Sally Sue (Randil) Vibert and Irene Allen; grandchildren, Butch (Tammy) DeWitt, Drew DeWitt, Rhea Dawn McCombs and Richard (Sue) Mitchell II; 6 great grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and friends of her son Richard, Jimbo Strong, Sally Herrington, and William "Bill" Wethington.

Visitation will be held on Monday, November 13 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm with a funeral service at 2:00 pm in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
