Allie Chaney, 75, died on June 29, 2016 at her Franklin residence. The daughter of Amos and Nora Combs Holliday, Allie was born April 6, 1941 in Ary, Kentucky.
She was a homemaker.
Allie is survived by sons, David Slayback, James (Amanda) Slayback, Jeffery (Shannon) Slayback and Charles Slayback, Jr.; daughter, Tina (Robert) Barnett; brothers, Alvin (Bobby Jean) Holliday, Amos (Paula) Holliday and Barry Holliday; sisters, Ann Bingham, Lola Holliday, Polly Long and Amy (Steve) Gann; grandchildren, Robert Barnett, Jr., Jason Barnett, Jessica Barnett, Allie Barnett, Maya Barnett, Eric Barnett, Matthew Jackson, Josh Jackson, Matthew Schantz, Kristina Slayback, Dustin Slayback, Shelby Slayback, Danielle Sanche, Jeffrey Slayback, Michael Lyons, Kara Slayback, Rylee Slayback, Sara Jackson, James Slayback, Racheal Slayback and Hanna Slayback; 24 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Allie was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney D. Chaney, whom she married on May 29, 1984 in Franklin, Indiana and he died on June 14, 2005; a brother, Sturgill Holliday and a sister, Fannie Stanley.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. July 5, 2016 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
