Alma Marie Fairfield, age 85, of Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord on December 24, 2016. She was born September 14, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH to Stanley and Bertha (Luttrell) Lawson. She was a homemaker who loved her family, gardening, and being a great neighbor and friend. She never met a stranger and she will be missed by all who know and love her.

Alma married Jesse W. Fairfield on August 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on June 28, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (companion, Ted Shugars) of Indianapolis and Jesse (Jacquelene) Fairfield of Indianapolis; daughter, Brenda (Larry) Beaver of Indianapolis; brother, Kenneth (Linda) Lawson of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Pam (Rob) Dykes of Waynesboro, GA; great grandchildren Hunter, Josh, Tommy and Meranda Dykes.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
