Alma J. Embry, age 87, of Bloomington, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at McCormick''s Creek Rehabilitation in Spencer. Alma was born January 15, 1926 in Burkesville, KY to Leslie and Exie (Taylor) Shoopman. She was a homemaker who loved her family and enjoyed watching Walker, Texas Ranger and Law and Order and doing word search puzzles. Alma married Charles Embry in February, 1950 and he preceded her in death on January 2, 1996.

Alma is survived by her sons, Skippy and Daniel Embry of Bloomington; brother, Lonnie Shoopman of Greenwood; sister, Bobbie Spears of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children''s Hospital.
