Almalene Vinson, age 84, of Mooresville, passed away January 14, 2010 in Indianapolis. She was born Sept. 27, 1925 in Swifton, AR to Robert Lee and Effie Gilmore. Almalene attended New Life Assembly of God. She was married to Albert Vinson and he survives along with their sons, Shelby (Elizabeth) and James (Barbara) Vinson; daughters, Kay (Richard) Harrington, Sandra Walker, and Sheila Vinson; one brother Boyce (Lola) Gilmore; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Monday, January 18, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation is Sunday, January 17, 2010 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer''s Association.
