Alton Carlyle (A.C.) Jones, 82, died Friday, January 17, 2025. He was born March 15, 1942 in rural Clay County, Kentucky to George Washington and Ethel Jones, and had the distinction of being the seventh son of a seventh son and the youngest of 13 children. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Korea and Germany during the early 1960's. A.C. is survived by his son, Bradley (Cynthia) Jones; granddaughter Elliott; son, Jason (Julie) Jones; and granddaughters Morgan and Malia. He is also survived by his sister Emma Goins. Alton was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Smith) Jones in 2007 and by his parents and eleven siblings. There will be a visitation at Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S Sr 135, Greenwood, IN, 46143) for Alton in Greenwood, IN on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana.
