Wayne Burke, age 68, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Wayne was born January 19, 1947 in Indianapolis to James Alva and Margie Marie (Kincaid) Burke. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Korea. He was a mechanic for many years at various dealerships in and around Indianapolis. Wayne was an avid fisherman and hunter who also loved metal detecting, flint knapping, and artistic painting.

Wayne is survived by his wife, Vicky; sons, Wayne Burke, Rodney (Brenda) Burke, of Lawrenceburg, GA, Matthew Burke, of Indianapolis, and step-son, Joseph Fleming; brothers, Jerry (Darlene) Burke of Greenwood and Danny Burke, of Indianapolis; sisters, Barbara (Paul) Comstock of Indianapolis, Linda(Tom) Turner of Greenwood, Sandra (Dwight) Coggins of New Palestine and Karen (Gary) Collins of Indianapolis; 2 grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Whiteland Missionary Baptist Church, 210 N. Front St., Whiteland 46184 with Bro. Jerry Burke officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
