Ancil Lee Perkins, 76 of Indianapolis passed away on August 19, 2018. Ancil was born in Campbellsville, KY on August 4, 1942 to Ralph and Annie (Ooley) Perkins. Ancil graduated from Southport High School. In high school Ancil ran track, setting many records. Ancil proudly ran the Bus Ministry for the Southside Baptist Church and the Baptist Temple. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, attending auctions and going to garage sales. Ancil would grow his beard in the winter to take on the beloved role of, Santa. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.

Ancil is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and beloved wife of 53 years, Jannie.

He is survived by his children, Jonathan Perkins, Shellie (Chris) Berning and April (Bryon) Yancey; grandchildren, Teoda (Lance) Talbott, Ancil Berning, Mikayla Yancey, Mason Yancey, Alecia Perkins and Brielle Riggs.
