Obituary

Andres Hernandez, Indianapolis, IN, passed away on the early morning of Thursday, July 17, 2025. He was 72 years old. Andres was raised in Indianapolis, IN by his mother, Mary Quintana and his stepfather, Nicholas Quintana.
Andres worked a variety of jobs throughout his life to support his family; most recently he worked as a warehouse worker for Walmart Return Warehouse. Andres enjoyed playing the drums in several bands as a younger man. He would often perform at Bar 31 playing classic rock and roll and later country music. Andres loved all sports; he was talented at softball and enjoyed bowling with his friends and family. Andres was a big fan of the Indianapolis sports teams (Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Indianapolis Indians) and loved any opportunity to attend live sporting events where he could cheer on his favorite teams. Andres also cheered for the Atlanta Braves. Andres also enjoyed going fishing and travelling to Clearwater, FL to enjoy the beautiful beaches and ocean views with his family. Andres also enjoyed playing cards and gambling with his family at family gatherings; he kept a Country Crock butter container that he religiously filled with coins to use with his family during the card games. Andres will be remembered as an outgoing man that cherished the time he was able to spend with his beloved family. He will be dearly missed by those he leaves behind.
Andres is survived by his children, Andy (Julie) Hernandez, Johnny (Melissa) Hernandez, Andrew (Nicole) Hernandez, and Brady (Ghayda) Hernandez; his grandchildren, Andres Hernandez III, Dacoda Hernandez, Madison Hernandez, Infinity (Julian) Wisner, Ty Hernandez, Khiann Hernandez, Eli Hernandez, Mylee Hernandez, Logan Hernandez, Koda Hernandez, and one grandchild on the way; his great grandchildren, Ecko Hernandez and Krue Hernandez; his 4 sisters; his brother; his ample nieces and nephews.
Andres is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Christine Hernandez; his sister Juanita.
