Andrew M. "Micky" McElyea, 81, of Indianapolis, died December 22, 2010. He was born to the late Cecil and Sarah Tester McElyea in Pennington Gap, Virginia on March 8, 1929. Micky was a meat cutter with Kroger for a number of years. He served our county in the US Army. Andrew was a member and deacon at Bridgeport Baptist Church, member of the Mason Lodge and Scottish Rite. He married Betty L. Rush on September 18, 1955 and she survives. Also surviving is a daughter: Deborah Martin. Two sons: Marshall A. McElyea and Rodney D. McElyea. Five brothers: Ronnie, Jerry, Tommy, Danny, and Robert McElyea. Two sisters: Louise Howell, and Carolyn Eldridge. Three grandchildren: Dana, Cody, and Danielle. Two great-grandchildren: Mikayla, and Camden. Family will receive friends from 4-8 pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 Greenwood, IN 46143. Funeral service will be at 1 pm Monday with calling one hour prior at funeral home. Entombment to follow with military rites at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
