Andrew "Jim" Melkey, 78, of Indianapolis died Friday, November 17, 2010. Jim was born to the late Andrew and Wilma Papp Melkey in South Bend, Indiana on March 27, 1932. Jim retired from Indiana Bell. He married Norma Mann and she precedes him in death. Jim was a member of the Greenwood Masonic Lodge, Pioneers Club with Indiana Bell. Jim enjoyed radio airplanes. Jim was one of the most care and understanding people you would want to meet, his care for family and friends was seen by all. Surviving are three sons and daughter-in-laws: Terry and Jaymee Melkey, Gary Melkey, and Anthony and Daisy Melkey. One sister: Sharon Cramer. One grandson: Blake Melkey. Several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 4-7 pm Sunday at Forest Lawn Memory Park and Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday at the funeral home. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
