Mrs. Anna Marie Gugenheim, Indianapolis, passed away on the late morning of Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Hospital. She was 73. Anna was born August 11, 1948 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Cleveland and Mary (Douglas) Reed.

Anna attended Arsenal Technical High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1966. She had worked earlier in her life but then devoted her life to being a homemaker, caring for her husband and children. She enjoyed playing Bingo at several area locations as well as collecting dolls, especially Beanie Babies. She also enjoyed gardening and caring for her plants and flowers.

Anna had a giving heart and genuinely loved others and caring for them. She deeply loved her family and looked forward to spending time with them. She loved the Christmas holiday and all the decorating that came with it. She was a fiercely independent lady and never wanted anyone to 'fuss' over her as was evidenced by her being a three-time cancer survivor.

Anna is survived by her children, David Gugenheim, James Gugenheim, Tina (Todd) Brown and Neal (Heather) Gugenheim; her grandchildren, Rowan Gugenheim and River Gugenheim as well as a sister, Mary (William) Robinson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband, Robert Lewis Gugenheim.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service Friday at the funeral home.
