Obituary

Anna Mae Sewell, Indianapolis,  passed peacefully on August 15 after living life on her own terms and with no regrets. She was 84. Anna Mae was born in Indianapolis, Indiana  to Edwin and Jennie (Blunt) Elsner. She was a gentle caregiver and one tough lady.
Anna Mae was a proud and active alumna of Manual High School. She spent a lifetime learning, helping others and enjoying every moment she could with family and friends. She was a member Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church. She loved travel, animals and the children that she drove to and from school as a bus driver.
With decades of fond memories are her children: Edwin (Carol) Sewell, Pam Sewell Ward; grandchildren; Billy (Brandy) Kelley, Jennie (Chris) Wheat Gray, Edward Sewell; and 7 great grandchildren. She is preceded in passing by her parents,husband, Jack Sewell, and son-in-law Andrew Ward. The family acknowledges and appreciates the friendship and comfort that her team of caregivers  provided her. They kept her safe and comfortable during difficult times.
A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 pm, Monday, August 22, 2022, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, Indiana. The family welcomes friends from 10:00 am until the time of service. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
