Obituary

April Suzanne Ziegler, 42, of Martinsville was called home to the Lord August 19.  She was born May 1, 1979 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Rodney and Joy (Flick) Ziegler.

April was a Beech Grove High School graduate and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in counseling at Florida Christian College.  She worked in the radiology department and then as an Application Tech Analyst at Franciscan Alliance for more than 15 years.  April was very involved in her church; she grew up as a member of Southport Heights Christian Church and more recently became an active member of Soul Harvest Church in Cloverdale, where she ran the sound system for the worship team.  She was an avid sports fan, playing volleyball and basketball in college and supporting her favorite teams: Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Purdue. April loved to sing and was a member of Sisters in Song, who would travel around and sing at various retirement homes.  She loved to bake and decorate cakes to share with friends and family.  April loved her family and friends dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

April will be forever remembered by her mother, Joy Ziegler; siblings, Jennie Ziegler, Daniel Paul Ziegler, and Benjamin (Amanda) Ziegler; niece, Cassidy; nephews, Malachi, Zack, and Cameron; aunts, Connie Ziegler, Debi Flick, and Connie Flick; and uncles, Shockley (Bev) Flick, and Jack (Jane) Ziegler.

In addition to her father, Rodney, April was preceded in passing by uncles, Lonnie Flick, and Connie Flick. A celebration of life memorial will be held Wednesday, August 25 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm, with service beginning at 6:00pm at Southport Heights Christian Church, 7154 McFarland Rd, Southport, IN 46227.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in April's name may be made to Southport Heights Christian Church, or Soul Harvest Church: 14 Crosswinds Dr, Cloverdale, IN 46120 . Forest Lawn Funeral Home is honored to care for Ms. Ziegler and her family during this time.
