Mr. Arvil Denham Jr., Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Friday, November 6, 2020. He was 88. Arvil was born August 3, 1932 in Crawfordsville, Indiana a son of the late Arvil Denham Sr. and Clare V. (Goode) Williams.

Arvil was a proud truck driver and over the years had driven for Spector Freight from April 1957 to April 1972, Danner's Inc., from January 1972 to March 1984 and then retired from Duff Truck Lines in 1987. He had also been employed at Central Union Warehouse from August 1950 until April 1957. Arvil was a veteran and proudly served his country in the National Guard in the 1950's. He was a member and business representative for the Teamsters Union Local 135.

Arvil enjoyed watching sports, especially Indiana University basketball. He also liked reading the newspaper. Arvil was a Godly man as well as a wonderful Husband, Father and Pop. He was a member of the Suburban Baptist Church where he was involved in many activities at the church.

He is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Ken) Brown, Debra (Earl) Ridlen and Lori (Kenny) Dean; ten grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren as well as a great-great-grandchild on the way. He is also survived by a half-brother, Wayne Denham and a half-sister, Donna Priebe.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Mary K. Denham and his son, Gary A. Denham.

Service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood.

Pastor Ford Glover will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
