Barbara Ann (Breitenbach) Smoot, of Indianapolis passed away Saturday, June 20 in Kokomo, Indiana.  She was born July 22, 1937 in Indianapolis to Al and Mary (Russell) Breitenbach.

Barbara graduated from Northwestern High School in Kokomo, Indiana and went on to marry, and raise 5 children.  She enjoyed all animals, singing and gardening.  Barbara was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis and she loved Jesus with all her heart.  She was an excellent cook, often using the vegetables she grew in her garden, and loved to cook for all of the large family gatherings.  Barbara was the rock of her family, and will be remembered fondly.

Barbara is survived by her children, Brenda Harrington, Teresa Wade, David Langley, Mark (Tina) Langley, and Tab Langley; grandchildren, Dustin (Ashley), Joe, Amelia, Adam, Beth (Daniel), Noah, Matthew, Brittany, Elizabeth (Antonio), and Amber; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Peggy Thomas; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Willis Smoot, Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters, Loretta and Jeanetter; and two great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 1 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, Indiana  46143.  Funeral service will follow at 2:00pm.
