Barbara Joan Hall, age 66, of Indianapolis, passed away July 23, 2017 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. The daughter of Marion L. and Dorothy M. Miller Coppess, Barbara was born September 8, 1950 in Kokomo, Indiana.

A 1968 graduate of Decatur Central High School, Barbara was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching episodes of "Law & Order", cooking and baking and spending quality time with her children and grandchildren.

Barbara was a devoted mother to her children, Scott E. Bowling of Port Richey, FL, Adam L. (Rebecca) Bowling of Avon, Shannon M. (Michelle) Bowling of Indianapolis; sister of Butch Coppess of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, David (Leah) Coppess of West Newton, Dorothy (Ozzie) Stamm of Anderson, Betty Beasley of Indianapolis, Carolyn "Susie" (Bill) Davis of Greenwood and Haley (Mike) Belcher of Eminence; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mario Coppess.

Funeral services 11:00 a.m. July 27, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. July 26, 2017 and after 10:00 a.m. on the day of service. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
