Barbara "Bib" Jane Dile, Whiteland, IN, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023. She was 83 years old. Barbara was born in Edmonton, KY to her parents Winfred and Sally Spears. She graduated from Columbus North High School, class of 1957. Barbara married her husband, Thomas Edward Dile on August 12, 1960 and they shared 50 years of marriage together until Thomas passed away on February 1, 2011.
Barbara was a homemaker for the majority of her life. She enjoyed listening to music and watching all different types of sports. She was also a big fan of the Pacers and Indianapolis Colts. Barbara loved when she had the opportunity to go to a casino to try her luck. She loved animals all throughout her life and raised her fair share of beloved furbabies. She jumped at every chance she had to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barbara's feisty personality will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Barbara is survived by her children, Mark (Kathy) Dile, Terri (Dickie) Ballard, Thomas Dile and Jodi Smith; her grandchildren, Amanda (Christopher) Parrish, Nick (Fiance, Ashley) Ballard, Monica Dile and Gregory Smith; her great grandchildren, Cohen Parrish, Remy Parrish, Finn Parrish, and Natalie Kizzee; her siblings, Rose (George) Rhude and Mike (Jan) Spears; her nephew, Dan Rhude; her cat, Elsa.
Barbara  is preceded in death by her parents and  her husband, Thomas Edward Dile.
A visitation for Barbara will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm.
