Barbara Jean Endsley, 85, of Greenwood passed away April 27, 2019. She was born October 27, 1933 in Indianapolis, IN to Dale and Marie Schofield.

Barbara was a loving and devoted wife and mother and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked at L.S. Ayers for a number of years and volunteered her time to St. Francis Hospital. She enjoyed playing the lottery, tai chi, and traveling, especially to Florida. Barbara was a champion for the underdogs, both human and animals.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Thomas C. Endsley; daughters, Kiann (Steve) Payne, Kara (John) Schalk and Kezia Endsley (Erik Dafforn); brothers, Don Schofield, Robert Schofield, Johnny Schofield and Mark Schofield; grandchildren, Shanna (Michael) Mattax, Amy (Travis) Fink, Lauren (David) Wrighton, Thomas (Katie) Payne, Warren Schalk, Nina (Matt English) Schalk, Jordy Schalk, Riley Schalk, Piper Dafforn, Christopher Dafforn and Ryan Dafforn; great grandchildren, Natalie Mattax, Patrick Mattax, Samantha Wrighton, Penelope Wrighton and Owen Fink.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 12:00 pm, also in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
