IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Ann
Hudson
January 10, 1941 – September 3, 2023
Barbara Ann Hudson, Greenwood, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023. She was 82 years old. Barbara was born in Martinsville, IN to her parents Charles and Anna Ruth Awbrey. Barbara married her husband, John Roderick Hudson, on August 26, 1994 and they shared 25 years of marriage together until John passed away on January 5, 2022.
Barbara worked in central supply for Community South Hospital and retired after over 10 years of service. Barbara was a member of Vineyard Community Church with her family for many years. She was a woman of faith all her life. Barbara enjoyed quilting and crocheting in her spare time. She passionately created various blankets and quilts as gifts for all her family to remember her. Barbara seized the opportunity to teach her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren how to sew, crochet, quilt and knit. In addition to teaching her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Barbara helped to raise them. Barbara loved spending time with her beloved family whenever she had the chance. She will, lovingly, be remembered for her feisty personality; she was never afraid to share her opinions in a direct manner. Barbara was a funny and protective matriarch to her family and will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Barbara is survived by her children, Doris (Rick) Hayes, Denise (Jim) Payne; her grandchildren, Shiloh Becker and Richard (Seleena) Hayes; her great grandchildren, Hayley Quakenbush, Corbin Quakenbush, Adalina Reitz, and Leah Hayes; her brother, Richard Awbrey.
Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John R. Hudson; her husband, Harold H. Bell.
