Barbara J.  Hansen-Lorenz 83 of Greenwood passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was born to the late Robert and Viola Hansen.

Barbara is survived by her three children Cathie (James) Long, David (Jean) Lorenz and James( Germaine) Lorenz; grandchildren John(Jordan) Hertig, Christie (David) Collins, Katie (Taylor) English, Steven Lorenz and Jenna Lorenz; 15 great grandchildren and two surviving sisters Judith Hansen-Hodge and Janet Hansen-Shelton. Brother-in-law Tom Lorenz. She is proceeded in death by both parents, her husband Gene Lorenz; brother Jerry Hansen and two sisters Janie Hansen-Martin and Donna Hansen-Henley, and sister-in-law Sue Lorenz.

Barbara was employed at Texscan Corp for many years, and later ran a small business with her husband- Lorenz Screen Printing. She then volunteered for Franciscan Hospice services for several years.
Her hobbies included traveling, golf, bowling and reading. But her most cherished accomplishment was her family.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, December 1, 2023 at 1:00 PM with a short visitation beginning at noon at the funeral home Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband, Gene at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
