Bernice A. Line, 84, recently of Kansas City, MO, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2016. She was born July 3, 1932 to Max and Clourse (Cress) Alexander. She was a professional seamstress, dressmaker, and home decorator who loved to draw and paint. She taught arts and crafts and was very creative until the very end. She loved animals, especially dogs. Bernice was born and grew up in Kokomo and later married Ralph V. Line on August 14, 1960. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2015. She and Ralph lived in Indianapolis and retired and lived in Ellenton, FL.

Bernice is survived by her daughter, Cindy Line; step-daughter, Starla Steuerwald and family; niece, Sue Palmer and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Virginia Sprinkle.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Ben Franklin Chapel with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time in the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children''s Fund.
