Obituary

Mrs. Bernice Louise Brown, New Albany, Ohio, passed away on the early afternoon of Monday, February 6, 2023. She was 91. Bernice was born November 15, 1931 in Kent, Indiana, a daughter of the late George B. and Ann Mary (Burrell) Wheeler.
Bernice deeply loved her family and dedicated her life to her husband and children, nurturing and caring for them and providing a loving home. She and her husband owned and operated Brown Mower Sales and Service at the corner of Old Smith Valley and Morgantown Roads for 30 years. Bernice was a faithful member of the Smith Valley Baptist Church in Greenwood where she served as a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir.
Bernice is survived by her son, Kevin Brown; her grandchildren, Christopher (Crystal) Brown, Patrick Brown, Andrew (Jennifer) Brown, Keith Brown and Eric Brown; her step-grandchildren, Amy Nozicka, Jacob Nozicka and Missy McCartney; her great-grandchildren, Kairi Brown, Elijah Brown and Iris Brown and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of 60 years, James W. Brown; her son, Kendall Brown; a grandson, Matthew Brown; a step-daughter, Pamela Lively as well as her siblings, Ruby Walton and Roger Wheeler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. She will be laid to rest beside her husband following the services at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
