Bernice A. Hayden, age 81 of Indianapolis, died on Monday, June 15, 2009 at Methodist Hospital. Bernice was born July 4, 1927 in Indianapolis to Franklin D. and Nellie E. (Wofla) Britton. She was married to Joseph M. Hayden, who passed away in 1995. Bernice is survived by three sons, Joseph (Linda) Hayden, Patrick (Candace) Hayden, William Hayden; four daughters, Linda (Gilbert) Lema, Anna Domangue, Rose (Gary) Austin, Betty (Jerry) Austin. Also she has 28 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren who survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three brothers. Services will be at 1:00pm Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South State Road 135 in Greenwood, IN. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and from 11:00am until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.
