Bertha Anna Huber Arthur, 85, of Indianapolis, passed away November 20, 2016. The daughter of Eugen and Anna Lena Schlestein Huber, Bertha was born May 20, 1931 in Beech Grove, Indiana.

A graduate of Southport High School, Bertha was a homemaker and a member of Garfield Park United Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening, working Sudoku puzzles and was an avid reader.

Bertha is survived by son, Brian (Beverly) Arthur of Greenwood; daughter, Karen (Glenn) Harmon of Beech Grove; brother, Alfred Huber of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kevin (Megan) Arthur, Nicole (Terry) Spencer, Ashley (Jordan) MacDonald, Craig (Lauren) Harmon, Susan Harmon (Eric) and Kaitlin (Travis) Harmon-Odom; six great-grandchildren; special friend, Dottie Vaughn; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, whom she married in Indianapolis on September 27, 1953 and several cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Entombment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
