Betty J. Davis passed away on March 22, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born November 7, 1934, the youngest of 16 children to William and Carrie (Fisher) Bowman in Indianapolis.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles "Sam" Davis; four sons, Steve (Cindy), Chris (Linda), Andy (Heather) and Matt; nephew, Dale Wampler (Robin); and nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Betty graduated from Ben Davis High School and was an executive secretary for the Indianapolis Police Department and the Indianapolis Housing Authority. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.

Funeral services 10:00 a.m. March 29, 2017 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home - 1977 South State Road 135, Greenwood, where friends may call 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. March 28th. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
