Obituary

Mrs. Betty Jo Crockett, Lewisport, Kentucky, passed away on the late evening of Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was 87. Betty was born November 29, 1933 in Greenwood, Indiana a daughter of the late Henry and Alma (Hamilton) Mohr.

Betty graduated from Moral Township High School in Fairland, Indiana and for 12 years was employed with Naval Avionics and had also been a co-owner with her husband of Dave's Seafood Sales Company. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lewisport and she spent her leisure time reading, bowling and following the University of Kentucky Wildcats basketball team. She was involved in crafts and through this enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She is survived by her children, Beth (Rodney) Reed, Louisville, KY and Glenn Irvin of Lewisport, KY; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Enzer Crockett; one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Monday, January 25, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Monday at the funeral home.

The safety of our families and guests is of our utmost priority. We ask that facial coverings be worn and social distancing be practiced. In keeping with the Governor's mandate, attendance at the service will be limited to 25 guests. If you feel any symptoms of illness, please do not attend. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
