Betty Jo "Dennie" Prosser, age 76, of Greenwood, passed away Monday at home with her family by her side. She was born May 3, 1934 in Marion, VA to James K. and Myrtle (Olinger) Smith. She married Harold L. Prosser on November 11, 1953. Dennie enjoyed gardening, dancing, bowling and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband; one son, Jerry (Diane) Prosser; daughters, Joy (Ron) Garner, and Theresa (Ben) Braughton; one sister, Shirley Noah; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jeff Prosser, one brother and four sisters. Visitation is Tuesday September 28 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood. Private services will be held at a later date.
