Betty J. Dillard, 95, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. Born to the late Floyd and Helen Medsker, Betty lived a life full of joy, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

Betty was a woman who truly embraced life. She loved to join in the fun—whether it was attending horse races, playing bingo, or gathering with loved ones for her favorite activities. If she couldn't bring everyone together, she'd make her rounds, visiting each one with a warm smile and a heart full of love. Always on the go, Betty's easygoing nature and refusal to complain made her a comforting presence to all who knew her.

A talented dressmaker, Betty poured her creativity into sewing, reading, fishing, playing cards, and solving crossword puzzles. Her hands were always busy, crafting beauty and joy for those around her. She was a proud member of Bluff Creek Church and served as a past president of Bargersville Senior Citizen Center, where her leadership and compassion touched many lives.

Betty is survived by her three children: Kathryn (Robert) Madison, William (Vickie) Dillard, and Jeffrey Dillard; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Charlotte Folkening, Marjorie Medsker, and Randy Medsker. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Dillard; her daughter Cheryl Barnes; both parents; and seven siblings: Lois Smith, Thelma "Ruthie" Fairchild, Dorothy  Kingrey, Floyd "Bill" Medsker, Robert Medsker, James Medsker, and Ronald Medsker.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 18, 2025, from Noon until the time of service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, after which Betty will be laid to rest beside her husband William at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Betty's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
