Betty I. Sauter, 92, of Indianapolis passed away November 30, 2017. She was born in Terre Haute, IN to Elige Ferran and Hyla (Edwards) Hadlock.

Betty loved to shop and play Rummy and she enjoyed her hobbies and was very crafty. Betty worked for Raceway Lanes and Your Chimney Sweep.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph A. Sauter; daughter, Roberta Carter; brother, Clerence Ferrin and sisters, Louise Scott, and Imogene Hollingsworth.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Jeannie (Donald) Walker and Melinda Sauter; son, Joseph (Jenny) Sauter; grandchildren, Gerald (Andrea) Ellingwood, LeAndra (Todd) Elliott, Ellen Sauter and Jonathon Sauter; great grandchildren, Tina Rennaker, Anthony Rennaker, Sarah Ellingwood, Jacob Ellingwood, Adam Ellingwood and Cathy Jo Carter and great great grandchildren, Adyson Grace and Aubrey Noelle.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm with a funeral service at 1:45 pm in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Rd. 135, Greenwood. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
