Betty Lou (Mattingly) Miller, 88, of New Whiteland passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020.  She was born September 25, 1931 in Indianapolis to Joseph Matthew and Mabel Marie (Gough) Mattingly.

Betty married Marion Hubert Miller, on March 12, 1949 and together they raised six children.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Shirley A. Nalley-Martin (Arthur), Franklin, IN; Sandra K. Miller (Stephen Ginsberg), Deborah J. (Garry) Christmas, New Whiteland, IN; son, Michael E.  (Tamara) Miller, Columbus, IN; step-son, Gerald L. Miller, Westfield, IN; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Regina S. (William) Freeland, of Indianapolis, IN.

In addition to her parents and husband, Hubert, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Sue Miller; son, James D. Miller; step-daughters Patricia Miller Siebenthal, Marion Lois Miller Hickey; siblings Virginia Mattingly Miller, Anna Mattingly Burcham, James D. Mattingly, and Eugene L. Mattingly.

Betty was involved in the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion. She retired from Walmart with 16 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Greenwood Catholic Church. She loved her family and home deeply. She enjoyed crocheting, making gifts for her family. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and bird watching.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 27 from 3:00pm - 6:30pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 S. State Road 135, Greenwood, IN  46143. The funeral service will begin at 6:30 pm.

Graveside services will be Monday, June 29th, at 2pm at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Garden of Meditation.
