Obituary

Betty Lou Reasoner, 87, of Greenwood passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the morning of October 28, 2026. She was born in Clark Township of Johnson County to the late William T. and Mamie Reynolds on November 21, 1939.

Betty Lou was proud of her distinguished career as an Executive Assistant for Eli Lilly and Company and Dow AgroSciences. She also helped keep the books for a southside AMC cinema which kept her close to her passion for the movies. Outside of work and in her later years she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, church choir, Bible study and playing pinochle with a close circle of lady friends. She loved to travel the world including amazing trips to Antarctica, the Far East, and throughout Europe. Her last big adventure was a private tour of the Indianapolis Zoo guided by her grandson Zach, where many of the resident primates got to meet a Betty Lou. In her younger years, she was a varsity cheerleader for Clark High School and a past Indiana President for Epsilon Sigma Alpha International, a service and leadership organization with impact around the world.

Betty Lou is survived by her husband of nearly twenty years Richard Reasoner; stepsons Tom (Jenny) and Tim (Katie) Reasoner, her siblings Wilma J. Wells, Joyce A. (Fred) Davis, William (Patti) Reynolds and many nieces and nephews. She was also a grandmotherly figure in the lives of many more young people and leaves behind a wide circle of southside friends including loving neighbors at Greenwood Village South. She is proceeded in death by both parents, late husband's Joe Caplinger and Jim Watkins and a nephew Troy Hartley.
