Mrs. Betty Lou Shrout, Indianapolis, passed away on the late afternoon of Thursday, September 30, 2021. She was 86 and was born November 4, 1934 in Wheatland, Indiana.

Betty was a devoted homemaker and deeply loved her family and there nothing she wouldn't do for them. She was well known for her baking and her fried chicken dinners. Betty, along with her husband and family, also enjoyed taking three and four week vacations to Colorado and other western states. She was an avid roller skater and she and her late husband had a membership in a motorcycle club and they would take motorcycle rides all over the United States.

Betty is survived by her sons, Robert Shrout, David Shrout and Paul Shrout; her grandson, Colten Shrout as well as her sister Jeanette.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her loving husband of 65 years, William C. Shrout and her siblings, Walter, Charlotte and Ann.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm, Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with Pastor Danny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
