Betty grew up on the east side of Indianapolis where she attended Arsenal Tech High School and was in the graduating class of 1959. She was a very good cook known for items such as her potato salad, pasta salad, and fresh green beans, just to name a few. She loved celebrating holidays and birthdays with her loved ones, and she put great love and pride in all she would do.
