Betty G. Robards Reed, 70, went to be with the Lord on October 25, 2014. Born November 6, 1943 in Whiteland, IN, she was the daughter of the late Froman and Kara (Gonterman) Thompson. She married James C. Robards, Jr. on July 30, 1960. He preceded her in death in May of 1998. She then married Danny D. Reed on December 22, 2000.

Betty was a graduate of Whiteland High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Caterpillar in Franklin, IN retiring in 2009. Betty enjoyed traveling and bowling with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; four sons, James B. (Lisa) Robards, and Billy J. (Jennifer) Robards, Ronny L. Weese, and Charles T. Weese ; five daughters, Bonita S. (Freddie Jr.) Ducking, Beth R. (Cody) Crocker, Belinda L. Robards, Leigh D. (Michael) Conner, and Laurel D. (Doug) Himmel, and thirteen grandchildren. Also preceding her in death are four brothers, Charles, Robert, Froman Jr., and Mike Thompson, and sister, Maxine Garrett, and one grandson, Tim Martinez.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday October 30, 2014 in Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 South S.R. 135, Greenwood, IN 46143. Friends may call Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
