Betty Marie Lutane, age 89, of Indianapolis, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 13, 2016. She was born November 13, 1926 in Indianapolis to Everett and Edna (Stiles) Wells. Betty was a longtime member of Southport Heights Christian Church and was a member of the Sisters in Song and Keenagers at the church. She loved to sew, she made beautiful porcelain dolls and made blankets for the Riley Preemie Blanket program. She loved her family and her church and she will be missed by all.

Betty married Paul J. Lutane on April 16, 1944 and he preceded her in death on August 12, 2003. She is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Allen (Billye) Lutane of Unionville and Dennis Lee Lutane of Greenwood; daughters, Betty Jane (Joe) Shue of Greenwood, Mary Helen (Dan) Musgrove of Greenwood, Rita Jo (Mike) McCray of Flagler Beach, FL, Barbara Ann (Bob) Wills of Tampa, FL and Dorothy Lee (Jeff) Frazee of Indianapolis; 15 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents, son, Paul Lutane, Jr., daughter, Alice Louise Lutane, grandson, Michael McCray, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 10 a.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with entombment to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
