Billy Ray Belcher, age 80, of Cumberland, KY formerly of Indianapolis, passed away April 12, 2016. He was born April 16, 1935 in Wallins, KY to Theodore and Lillian Marie (Sizemore) Belcher. Billy was a line worker at International Harvester/Navistar for many years before he retired. He married the former Gladys Smith in 1954 and she preceded him in death in 1988. He later married the former Dorothy Ison and she passed away in 2010. Billy was a hard working man who loved to fish and to watch TV. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
Billy is survived by his son, Billy Wayne (Debbie) Belcher and step-son Orbin Vanover, both of Indianapolis; daughters, Vicky (Jack) Settles, Donna (Richard) Walker, both of Indianapolis, Beverly Trost of Hollywood, FL; step-daughters, Kimberly Calhoun of Lynch, KY and Michelle Vanover of Carmel; brother, Frank (Betty) Belcher of Indianapolis; sister, Kay (Don) Blondell of Martinsville; 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers Bob and Dale Belcher and sister, Loretta Graham.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home.
