Bobby J. Ferguson, age 68, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012. He was born September 28, 1943 in Whitleyville, TN to John F. and Ida (Short) Ferguson. Bobby was a retired maintenance man for Nabisco/ConAgra. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to collect coins.
He married the former Sharon McCauley on March 9, 1966 in Indianapolis and she survives him along with daughter, Beverly (Mark) Byrd of Indianapolis; sons, James "Jim" (Sherry) of Shelbyville, TN, Bobby Jr. "Woody" (Vickie) of Spencer, IN, and Jerry (Tanya) Ferguson of Brownsburg, IN; brother, Ronald (Brenda) Ferguson of Beth Page, TN; sister, Carol Armes of Red Boiling Springs, TN; 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and the boys, Toby and Cosmo. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, John and Richard Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24 at 1:00 pm at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Greenwood, with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Living Bread through Mt. Pleasant Christian Church in memory of Bobby J. Ferguson.
