Bobby E. Taylor passed away on October 16, 2017, after a brief illness. Bobby was born in East Peoria, Illinois on February 16, 1952.
Bobby attended H.E. Wood High School. He proudly served his country in the US Army, spending two years in Germany, training in heavy transport repair. Bobby began his career as a OTR driver for Overnite Transportation for 7 years. In August 1994, he joined FedEx and had just completed his 23rd year as a OTR driver. He enjoyed spending his time working in his garage restoring cars and trucks. He loved riding his Harley and enjoyed trips to Sturgis and Daytona for bike week.
Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Deborah Taylor; two sons, David (Harmony) Craig and Joshua Taylor; two brothers, David Taylor and Rickey Taylor of Morgantown, IN; two sisters, Patricia Alsabrook and Theresa (Jim) Hyde, of Evansville, IN; three granddaughters, Deja and Dayla Craig and Nevaeh Taylor. Nephews, Brian and Eric Shoop, Neil Staples, Brad Thomas, Ryan Solenberg and Chuck Taylor; nieces, Kathy Ann Taylor and Jessica Taylor; eight great nephews and five great nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a funeral service on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10:00 am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 1977 State Road 135, Indianapolis, IN, followed with burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
