Mr. Bobby Jack Wade, Martinsville, passed away on the morning of Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was 92. Bobby was born December 18, 1932 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, a son of the late John William and Emily Alice (Herron) Wade.
Bobby attended Dryden High School in Virginia and faithfully and honorably served his country in the United States Army. After coming to Indiana, he then began a long career with Chrysler Corporation where he worked as an inspector and retired after many years of service. He was a member of the United Auto Workers.
Bobby enjoyed eating a good meal, traveling and dancing. He also got great pleasure in reading his Bible, listening to country music and Ozzy Osborne.
Bobby is survived by his children, Anna Maxine McNalley and Bobby Jack Wade, Jr,; his grandchildren, Amber Nicole Chandley, Caroline Wade and Bobby Wade; his great-grandchildren, Kierstyn, Caleb, Danielle, Barnabus, Jolene and Ruth; his great-great-granddaughter, Anastasia Raine; his sister, Vergie Shipley and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 pm, Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Chapel at the Benjamin Franklin Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 1977 S State Road 135 in Greenwood, with Chaplain Tom Richason officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services Wednesday.
