Obituary

Braeden "Brady" Mark Baker, 22, joined Heaven on October 16, 2025. Braeden was born on September 16, 2003, in Indianapolis, IN, a beautiful blonde haired, hazel eyed, 10 pound baby. He grew up in Greenfield, IN and loved his town of New Palestine.

Braeden was a Christian. He accepted and celebrated Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He spread God's Word to all, and emulated His messages in his efforts of servant leadership and benevolence. He was eloquent with his messages. He was personable. He was kind. He loved his campus ministry at IU Indianapolis, Christian Student Fellowship, and attended One Christian Church.

Braeden would have graduated from the Kelley School of Business Honors Program in May 2026 with plans to go into Marketing. He earned a full ride scholarship to IU Indianapolis. He was a proud graduate of New Palestine High School in 2022. He was fiercely adored by the Dragon Community, commonly known for spearheading the Barstool account, being a friend to anyone, and uplifting everyone he was around. He was also a proud employee of Maple Creek Country Club for 8 years, becoming a kind, familiar face for all who go to "The Maple". He loved working with the members, doing social media, and especially Joe and Jim.

Braeden was an amazing golfer. He taught himself in his backyard from YouTube videos, never taking a lesson. He used a cornfield as his driving range, and would ride his bike around the block to collect his golf balls at the end of his bucket. He was a Hancock County Champion his Senior year of high school, and his family will always celebrate each and every match.

He was a lover of Alabama football, summer country concerts, Aldi on Wednesday mornings, and a smooth glass of bourbon every once in a while. Braeden was a foodie, carefully constructing each meal, separating his sides, and choosing seasonings and condiments wisely. Braeden loved country music, the older the better. It wasn't uncommon to hear George Strait or The Possum coming from his speakers. He loved sharing songs with his Momma, his biggest fan, and would call her daily just to say "Hey Momma". No matter what they were doing, whether it was golfing (and Braeden dominating), working on his car, or just being together, Braeden loved every second of time with his dad.

Braeden loved his family, and his family loved him with every ounce of our hearts. Growing up between two sisters, he embraced the crazy and always kept a cool, level head. Braeden loved holidays, family dinners, and vacations to the beach. We were blessed to spend the last week all together, on the beach, savoring quality time we'll cherish forever.

Braeden will always be dearly and deeply missed by his loving parents, Mark and Angie Baker; his sisters, Keelie (Brian) Wagner, Kenzie Baker, and pup, Marley Rae; Nana, Rosalyn Baker; uncle and aunt, Wayne and Renee Hammons, and cousins Laney Hammons and Shelby (Gabe) Spencer; godparents Antoinette and Steve Burford; Beth, Brandon, and Luke Dreiman; fiancée, Faith Pence; and many, many friends and loved ones.

Braeden was preceded in death by his Papaw, Mark Baker Sr., who will undoubtedly be meeting up with him in Heaven to go fishing again.

A Celebration of Life may be announced at a later date. Please respect our family's privacy during this difficult time.

Hug your loved ones tight and keep them close, and always, always say "I love you".

In Braeden's memory, donations may be made to Maple Creek Country Club's Charity Fund, which he helped develop to support those in the community.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
